Our Story
What began as a lockdown project in 2020 quickly grew into a full-blown obsession with polymer clay. BloodOrange Jewellery was founded in Berlin by Kiwi creative Renee, who moved to Europe to reconnect with her Italian and Danish heritage. After over five years working as a graphic designer and photographer, Renee felt the pull to create something entirely her own. Since then, she’s continued to grow her craft, now incorporating materials like acrylic, ceramic, resin, and other unique elements into her jewellery designs.
The name "BloodOrange" comes from the love of all things nostalgic — especially 70s interiors (lots of orange tones), mid-century furniture, and playful European design. The round, wavy logo is a little nod to vintage fonts and is shaped to feel like a glowing sun or full harvest moon — a reference to memories of Piha Beach back in New Zealand.
All my products are handmade with love by me, in my small studio. I spend hours each week cooped up rolling clay, handcrafting and sanding each piece to give you a high quality item to add to your collection.
Due to the handmade nature of the items they are unique and sometimes have small imperfections, like me.

I hope you love them as much as I love making them and seeing the smiles on your faces!
